Updated: 7 days ago

The Florida Chi Emerging Chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon at UTampa has donated $612.06 to "Movember" and $250 to the Children's Miracle Network to complete their 5th philanthropic/public service event in November of 2024.

"November was our philanthropic month, and we are so happy we could provide an increase in awareness, and raise some money for five worth causes," stated Eminent Archon Trevor Sandler. "We are committed to public service all year" Brother Sandler continued, "and we were fortunate that we could time each event so well in a single month." Trevor concluded, "We are proud to have served so many deserving foundations."

"Movember" is an annual event involving the growing of moustaches during the month of November to raise awareness and money for Men's Health issues, such as prostate and testicular cancer, men's mental heath issues, and suicide prevention/awareness.

The Children's Miracle Network operates the largest network of children's hospitals in both the United States and Canada. The organizations's 170 hospitals provide an impressive 32 million treatments each year to children. All donations benefit local member hosptials to fund critical life-saving treatments, healthcare services, research, pediatric medical equipment and financial assistance for families who could not otherwise afford these type of high quality health services.

Special thank you to Brother Keaton Linn for the photography.
